A slow and silent song about a new, wonderful girl in a new, sparkling town. Written in summer/fall 2008.
This song was started in Summer, when I met a cool girl and finished when I had moved in with her in this busy city of Amsterdam. I hope it sounds light like those first weeks and also affirmed like I was in that fall when all those lights sparkled on the canals and I moved in with her in a new quarter of town.
lyrics
City lights combine the broken
High and low - crazy and lonesome
Everyone here is asking for space
I only need some to make room for your embrace
I have grayed my hair in the wind,
never been closer to Rome
This city is a beautiful beast
but it's easy cause I am with you
So bring again the moving vans
I still dance with you, my home
Dadadada
City lights remind the runaways
To hold hands and fasten fairytales
I've seen this guy develop into a very productive web-songwriter during the last two years, after I had noticed him on Soundcloud. A great example of creative flow, really got into liking the voices. Nic Honey
